Berlin Prayer Day

It was a busy weekend but we were refreshed by the opportunity to commit the adventure to God as we continue to pray for his guidance. The main event was undoubtedly the prayer day at the Movenpick Hötel. It was a blessing to be joined by Neville Jones from Mosaik Church Berlin. He shared some helpful insights into the spiritual climate and worldview of a city known as the 'atheist capital of Europe'. It was great to spend time praying for Neville and the Mosaik church.

We paused over lunch for a prayer walk in the city centre. The route took us past many famous landmarks, including the Reichstag and Checkpoint Charlie. Berlin's somewhat troubled history is well known - we believe that God will use this church plant to write a new chapter and bring freedom through Jesus to the people of this great city.

During our final session of the day, Dave Holden encouraged everyone to commit to playing a key role in two ways:

Ongoing Prayer - We send out a monthly prayer Newsletter, which you can subscribe to via
Contact us direct if you would like to be added to a private FB group for more regular prayer support.

Joining the adventure - We need more people to sign up and be a part of this Berlin Adventure church plant. Whether it's a short term one to two-year period or a longer season, we'd love for you to join the adventure of seeing God do something amazing in the lives of many across Berlin.

We are so grateful to those who invested their time and money in travelling to Berlin for the weekend. Sarah and I were really encouraged to see so many New Ground friends and family members standing with us.

God has called us to start a Bible-based, grace-filled, Spirit-empowered, new testament church right in the heart of Berlin. 1 Chronicles 16:24 says

"Declare his glory among the nations, his marvellous works among all the peoples!"

We are more convinced than ever that God has called us to play a key role in seeing Him glorified across Berlin. We have big dreams for the church plant and can’t wait to move to the city in spring 2018!
