A Vibrant And Caring Community

There is so much to be excited and thankful about when we consider Redeemer Delft! Ten months ago, a group of 40 adults and kids from Redeemer The Hague, felt God’s call to commit themselves to mission in the great city of Delft. After a couple of false start venues and much prayer, the church plant launched and found a fantastic Sunday meeting venue right in the centre of Delft. The VAK (Free Academy of Arts) building has been a massive blessing to us in providing everything we could have asked for. From staging to lighting and a sound desk, the VAK has been the perfect Sunday meeting space and has facilitated many people coming along and checking us out.

From the beginning, we felt that we needed to battle in prayer for families to be added into our community. We had faith that students would easily find a home with us, but older folk, families and young professionals that are the long-term builders and sustainers that form the core of any community, are a constant point of prayer. God has so faithfully been building the core of Redeemer Delft with exactly these kinds of people, but also been adding many Godly high capacity students from universities like the TU Delft into our community.

God is building a vibrant and caring community in Redeemer Delft that loves each other through mid-week Life Groups, men's and lady’s groups, outreach groups onto the university and care groups towards the refugees in our area. We are genuinely excited about what God is doing.

God is wonderfully using Redeemer Delft to draw people to Himself and we have some great testimonies of God bringing salvation and seeing people get baptised this year. A great problem to have is that we have outgrown our Sunday meeting venue and are looking to God to open up the right next venue for us. We need a new venue that can help facilitate mission and growth past our current 150 adults and kids number.

Another major prayer point is for a permanent leader for Redeemer Delft to emerge. Chris and Karin Taylor have done a great job in leading the plant phase of the church, but we feel that in order for Delft to be fully established with an eldership team and as an autonomous church, she needs her own captain at the helm.

Much to be grateful for. Much to be humbled by. Much to be expectant for. Redeemer Delft is Jesus' church, and He is building it, often time, despite us. To God be the glory, great things He has done.
