Here are a few questions which we have been asked by people interested in enlisting in the Academy. At present the list of questions is short, but if we need to add to it because we have missed key information off the website, please email us. We will answer your questions about the New Ground Academy and add the answers to this page for other prospective students.

Is the New Ground Academy for women as well as men?
Yes - definitely! We can't guarantee the proportion of men vs women in any given year, since that depends on who applies. However, we would like the proportion of women at the Academy to be at least a third.
Can I come to some but not all of the Academy training days?
Sadly, no. Enrolling in the Academy is a massive investment for everybody. It wouldn't be fair to those who have fully invested in the Academy to have other students dropping in and dropping out throughout the year. We invest heavily in the students, so it's right that we ask all students to invest as much time in developing their leadership gifting too.
Will there be any assignments in between the Academy training blocks?
No. We ask students to watch four 30-40 minute videos between each of the training blocks, and to make a note of their thoughts and reflections. As a result, we don't set them any other work between training blocks. We want to ensure that all students have time to put into practice what they are learning by serving in their local church.
