Over the past two years, New Ground has been engaging in a family-wide journey exploring how men and women can best flourish together in leadership and mission.
This process has included three key strands:
- A Theological Paper
For the Sake of the World: Flourishing Together as Men and Women Within our New Ground Church Family outlines our biblical convictions that men and women are equal in worth, distinct in design, and called to serve together for the sake of the Gospel. It reaffirms that eldership is a role for qualified men while encouraging the full release of women and men in all other areas of leadership and ministry.

- A Listening & Learning Report
Conducted by Barbara Macnish, this report gathers honest stories and reflections from across our churches. It celebrates many examples of flourishing but also acknowledges areas of pain and inconsistency. It invites us all to listen carefully, learn humbly, and grow together as a family of churches.
Available in EN, FR and PT
- A Table on Complementarity
To continue this work, we have formed a Table on Complementarity – a relational, cross-hub team that will help align our theology and practice, share learning, and develop practical resources for our churches.
Together, these initiatives express one vision: that men and women might serve, lead and flourish side by side, reflecting the beauty and freedom of the Kingdom of God.
